· Environmental conservation hub for the whole of Hong Kong
· Organic farming and restaurants
· Mui Wo and Tai O facelift projects in line with rural culture and environment
· Monthly thematic market days alongside local traditional celebrations
· Encouraging women’s local enterprises and establishing a local business network
YES to BETTER TRANSPORT
· Close monitoring of ferry and bus fares and of government tendering to curtail monopoly
· Better networks between Lantau and Central, Cheung Chau and Peng Chau; and Tuen Mun from Tai O
· Better networks within Lantau (Tung Chung and Discovery Bay)
· Inter-islands and heritage centres links
YES to BETTER COMMUNITY SERVICES
· Building of all-weather community halls
· Space-conscious design for car parking and bicycle stands
· Bilingual communication of local issues, events and activities
· Village clean-ups
YES to CLOSE MONITORING OF GOVERNMENT WORKS
· Mui Wo and Tai O facelift projects
· Drainage and sewage systems, revival of rivers
· Road maintenance and safety (especially Tai O Road and Keng Shan Road improvement works)
· Better re-planting and management of trees
Protecting Community Interest
· NO to the super incinerator in Shek Kwu Chau; we advocate reduction, re-use and recycling of waste
· NO to large-scale columbarium in Mong Tong Wan
Support all construction works that do not cause destruction of our natural environment, rural heritage and green lifestyle.

Transportation
- No more additional holiday charges for buses and ferries;
- No more unjust ‘instant fare increases’!
Land Use and Rural Development
- Respect Article 40 of the Basic Law that protects "the lawful traditional rights and interests of the indigenous inhabitants.”
- Improve road access to remote villages, slope works, drainage, flooding prevention and lampposts.
- Promote ecological and cultural heritage centres with convenient links and guides.
Fishermen and Farmers’ WelfareEducation
- Promote local fishing and agricultural industry, demand more subsidies for ‘cease-fishing period’, fish farms, and resumption of agricultural organic farming.
- Compensation for natural disasters and government works that affect livelihood.
- Full use of the Mui Wo secondary school premises for education and a community centre
- Increase student transportation subsidies and push for rural education allowance
- Ask for 15-year free education for all
Medical Services
- Push for opening of Tung Chung Hospital
Individual Community Needs
- Tai O: monitor anti-flooding works; prevent seawater overflow; improve sanitation for stilt houses
- Reassessment of compensation to residents of Sha Lo Wan caused by environmental destruction by the airport; development of cultural heritage centre
- Tung Chung villages: in-situ elderly day care centre; wheelchair space in buses; bus stop near village entrance; a village park for gathering
- Lantau South road safety; waste management
- Mui Wo: build bicycle stands outside wet market; enrich library collection and build study room; regular mosquito control
